Children of the Shadowfell know no mercy, and neither do I. I slipped from The Mighty Hands as silently as I had come—dropped through Undermountain's depths like a shadow itself, emerging in Waterdeep's market square where my friend [[Sarah]] tends her wares. She looked up from her stall, saw the grim determination in my eyes, and simply nodded. Information has value in these streets. Sarah spoke quickly—Rekal has been leaving calling cards in the alleys near the manor. Shadowfell-born, as expected. Leaves trails of cold spot where he walks. I've tracked such creatures before; they fear certain things as we fear the dark. Back at The Manor, I collected my belongings with practiced efficiency.
