### ✝️ Thought of the Day
**Matthew 5:16** - "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
As you coach young players today, remember that your patience, encouragement, and dedication are ways your light shines. Whether you're teaching table tennis at Gateway Church or working with your private students, you're not just developing their skills—you're demonstrating Christ's love through your service. Let that light shine brightly today.

### 📝 Today's Accomplishments
Today was a productive day with some solid progress on my tournament preparation and admin tasks. The morning started with getting the weather update and my thought of the day - a good reminder about letting my light shine through coaching, which felt particularly relevant given tonight's sessions ahead.
I managed to finish up the paperwork and confirmation for the 15th February tournament, which had been on my list for about a week. It feels good to have that checked off - one less thing to worry about as the tournament approaches. These administrative tasks always take longer than expected, but they're crucial for making sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
Around lunchtime, I finally got to the post office to send off the orders that had been building up. It's satisfying to clear the backlog and get those packages on their way. The post office run might seem like a small task, but it's one of those things that keeps the reselling business moving forward.
Later in the afternoon, I sent the player list to Table Tennis England for the membership check - another important piece of tournament prep completed. Getting the player list verified is essential, and I'm pleased to have it done well ahead of the tournament date. It's all about staying organized and keeping on top of these deadlines.
Throughout the day, Clawdee helped me set up my Google Calendar integration, which is going to be a game-changer for managing my schedule. Having all my coaching sessions, tournaments, D&D games, and family events in one place will make life so much easier.
Looking forward to tonight's coaching sessions at Gateway Church - first Nicolas at 5 PM, then the group session until 8 PM. The session plan is ready, and I'm excited to work on serve and third ball attack drills with the intermediate players.
### Evening Coaching at Gateway Church

The coaching sessions tonight went brilliantly. Started with Nicolas at 5 PM for his one-on-one session - we worked on his serve placement and consistency, which is really coming along. He's starting to understand how to use spin to set up his third ball attack, which is exactly what we've been building toward.
Then the group session from 6-8 PM was fantastic. Had about 8 intermediate players on 4 tables, and we put that session plan I created this morning into practice. The serve and third ball attack drills worked perfectly - splitting them into two stations meant everyone got plenty of practice without standing around waiting.
Station 1 focused on serve, predicted return, and attack - watching the players start to see the patterns and anticipate where the ball was going was really rewarding. Station 2 worked on serve variety and rally building, which helped them understand how choosing the right serve creates attacking opportunities.
The competitive "First to 3" serving games at the end brought great energy to the hall. You could see everyone applying what they'd learned, and the friendly competition brought out some excellent points. The atmosphere in the Gateway Church hall was wonderful - that community feel is what makes these Monday sessions special. It's not just about table tennis; it's about bringing people together.
This morning's thought about letting my light shine really resonated tonight. Watching players encourage each other, seeing their skills develop, and being part of this community outreach through the church - it all feels meaningful. These Monday evenings at Gateway are becoming one of the highlights of my week.
Overall, a good day of ticking off important tasks and making progress on multiple fronts. Feeling organized and ready for the week ahead, and energized from a great evening of coaching.
