### 📝 Today's Accomplishments
Today was a full day of family support and community engagement. Started the morning with pickleball at The Triangle, getting some exercise and connecting with the regular Thursday morning crew. The afternoon was centered on supporting Marrie—accompanying her to her hospital appointment at Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, being there as a solid presence during what can be a stressful time.
After that, made sure Bonnie got to her dance training at Cyprus Hall, watching her grow in confidence and skill with every session. Wrapped up the evening at Dice and Drinks for board game club, bringing some laughs and strategic gameplay to the Thursday night crew.
Later in the evening, spent time setting up and testing Ollama Mistral as a local AI model running through OpenClaw. Successfully switched from cloud-based Claude Sonnet to the locally-hosted Mistral model running on my 8GB GPU. The setup was smooth—pulled the model, configured OpenClaw to recognize it, and verified all the capabilities were intact: file operations, voice integration via speak_sync.ps1, memory access to SOUL.md and USER.md, web search, calendar integration, and more. Created an eBay listing for a New Mutants Classic Volume 6 trade paperback, which demonstrated the model's ability to research, understand context, and produce properly formatted output. Running a local model means zero API costs while maintaining full functionality. It's satisfying to have a capable AI assistant running entirely on local hardware.
It's been a day of showing up for the people who matter—family first, then community. A good reminder that the best days aren't always about ticking off massive projects, but about being present and supportive where it counts.
