They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.* β€” Lamentations 3:22-23 Each Monday is a gift β€” a fresh canvas, a new chapter. Just as spring renews the earth around you, so His mercies are renewed over you today. Step into this week not in your own strength, but carried by a faithfulness that has never once faltered. Go well, Brett. This week is already held. ___ ### πŸ“” Dear Diary Monday hit different.
It started innocuously enough β€” church membership course in the morning (always good for the soul, literally), then coaching in the evening. But in between? Pure war.
The Throne Room went dark. πŸ•―οΈ The API β€” the beating heart of Mission Control β€” had frozen solid. Port 3001 was dead, strangled by a hung node process that refused to die quietly. It took some real digging to find it, kill it, and then make the executive call: move everything to port . Clean. Simple. Done. The Empire lives again.
From there it was a cascade of fixes, one after another. Mission Control was throwing HTTP 500s, the Serve emoji was broken, pipeline defaults were missing β€” little paper cuts that add up to a slow death by a thousand "why isn’t this working?" moments. Got them all.
The Council Free Group infrastructure had bugs too β€” the whole scaffolding needed untangling. While I was at it, I built the Council Orchestrator: first in Python (quick and dirty), then properly in JavaScript. It’s a background polling agent that keeps Free Group ticking over without me having to babysit it. Quietly proud of that one. πŸ€–
The agents/status API was lying to me β€” showing wrong model info on the cards. Fixed. Next.js 15 had broken the routes entirely (a params bug β€” a classic 14β†’15 migration trap no one warns you about). Fixed. The LCM plugin was spamming registrations like a door-to-door salesman with infinite energy. Disabled. The Telegram CDN DNS was misbehaving. Resolved.
And somewhere in the middle of all of it, we established what might be the most important law the Empire has ever passed: OpenClaw tools are banned for agents. Full stop. No edit tool, no write tool, no web_fetch. Exec only β€” Python for files, browser-use for the web. It sounds restrictive, but it’s actually liberating. Clear rules, clean empire. βš”οΈ
By the time coaching wrapped up, I was running on fumes and the quiet satisfaction of a battlefield cleared. Not every day feels like progress. This one absolutely did. --- ### ⚑︎ Tags
placer
#progress #schedule #idea #completed #daily ___ >[! journal]- This Note From Different Years >```dataview TABLE alias FROM "0-TIME GARDEN/01 Daily" WHERE dateformat(date, "MM-dd") = dateformat(this.file.day, "MM-dd") AND file.name != this.file.name SORT date DESC >```
