**Reflection:**
What a staggering thing — the Servant bore what we should have born, and we looked at Him and saw judgment instead of love. How easily we mistake suffering for punishment, trials as evidence of God's displeasure. But here is the mystery: the cross was not evidence that God had abandoned Him — it *was* God absorbing our abandonment so we never have to stand alone beneath it. Today, when I feel the weight of my own small burdens, I am invited not to carry them alone but to lay them upon One who carried the weight of the world. He was stricken. He was afflicted. And it was love that held Him there. 🙏
