### πΊ Tonight's Viewing
An early night after a full day of pickleball and fellowship β the mind and body both yearned for rest, not screens.
___
### βοΈ Thought of the Day
**Isaiah 53:4 (NIV)**
> *"Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted."*
**Reflection:**
What a staggering thing β the Servant bore what we should have born, and we looked at Him and saw judgment instead of love. How easily we mistake suffering for punishment, trials as evidence of God's displeasure. But here is the mystery: the cross was not evidence that God had abandoned Him β it *was* God absorbing our abandonment so we never have to stand alone beneath it. Today, when I feel the weight of my own small burdens, I am invited not to carry them alone but to lay them upon One who carried the weight of the world. He was stricken. He was afflicted. And it was love that held Him there. π

### π Dear Diary
**πΎ Sweat & Supper β A Thursday of Two Halves**
The morning arrived crisp and cool, the kind of April air that bites your lungs and makes every pickleball strike feel alive. At Everyone Active, the courts hummed with laughter and the sharp *thwack* of plastic on plastic. My serves were wobbly but my spirit was soaring β there's something about shared exertion that forges camaraderie faster than any conversation.
Evening fell, and with it came the warm glow of Gateway Baptist Church. The meal was simple but hearty β the kind of food that nourishes both body and soul. Conversation flowed as freely as the gravy, and I found myself surrounded by a community that felt less like a congregation and more like an extended family.
As I drove home, the streets of Burgess Hill lay quiet under a canopy of stars. Today was a day of two halves β sweat and supper, effort and ease, movement and stillness. And in the balance of both, I found a strange and wonderful peace.
