Whether it's chasing down a shot at pickleball, watching Bonnie refine her moves at dance training, or stepping up to lead the Scouts, each moment is an opportunity to give your best not for applause but because it matters. A day well spent in service, movement, and mentorship — that's a Thursday worth having.

What a day! The sun was blazing over Burgess Hill — 19°C and wall-to-wall sunshine, perfect for my morning pickleball session at The Triangle. Then it was off to watch Bonnie at dance training over at Cyprus Hall, and rounding out the evening with Scouts leadership at the hut. A full day of movement, mentorship, and family — but that wasn't even the main event.

**The Mighty Hands is ALIVE.** 🎬⚔️

Short-01 — "Kozu: He Sees Everything. You See Nothing" — has absolutely taken off. When I checked the analytics tonight, it had hit **1,219 views** since publishing, with a gorgeous upward curve on the graph. 96% of traffic is coming from the Shorts feed, meaning the algorithm is actually doing its job. I even picked up my very **first subscriber** from it! There's something magical about watching that little line climb — validation that all the Seedance prompting, the DaVinci Resolve editing, the agonising over frames... it was worth it.

But I didn't stop there. I pushed through and completed **Short-02: Fredoku's Last Drink** — a tavern scene with our bald head human monk downing his final pint before facing the dragon. It's posted across all my socials now, and I'm eager to see how it performs.

**Highs of the day:** 🌟
- Kozu breaking 1,000 views — my first content to do so
- Gaining my first YouTube subscriber organically
- Completing and posting Fredoku's Last Drink
- The weather was absolutely glorious for pickleball
- Bonnie's progress at dance training — always a joy to watch
**Lows of the day:** 😤
- Reddit karma building feels like a slow grind — I want to post NOW but know I need patience
- Still figuring out how to convert Shorts viewers into long-form subscribers
- Hermee had a system update mid-chat which briefly interrupted our flow
- Realising I can't yet automate Reddit posting — need to set up API credentials first
**What I learned today:**
1. YouTube Shorts CAN work for niche content like D&D — the algorithm doesn't care about genre if the hook is strong
2. Reddit is a marathon, not a sprint. Authenticity beats promotion every time
3. Having a second Short ready to go before the first one peaks is smart pipeline thinking
4. I need to be more patient with platform growth — 1,200 views in 24 hours is actually exceptional for a brand new channel
Tomorrow's plan: keep the momentum rolling. Maybe dip a toe into Reddit with that NewTubers post, and start brainstorming **Short-03**. The Empire is building, one video at a time.
